About
My name is Heather Danielle Nelson and I currently live in Strongsville, Ohio. I graduated cum laude from Ohio University with a degree in Commercial Photography, and I currently specialize in wedding, engagement, maternity, newborn and family photography. Photography is so important to me, it's amazing to share in such important moments in people's lives. I love connecting with my couples and families and catching those special moments that not everyone sees. I also pride myself on finding new perspectives to get a unique shot. I have been known to climb a tree or stand on a ledge to capture that perfect moment. When shooting, I always take a few shots in each position, and just when you think I'm ready to move on, you let your guard down and I snap one more. That's when I capture the magic.
In addition to my dedication to capture an amazing shot, you will also find that I am extremely invested in the editing process and strive to produce nothing less than a high quality end result. Naturally, I do my best to capture the best possible photograph in camera, but it isn't always possible with the ever changing variables present in most photography situations. Not to mention, all of the little things that cannot be controlled in camera, such as skin imperfections and exit signs. My passion for my career as a photographer drives me to go above and beyond what most would expect to ensure that you are getting beautiful, quality photographs that are true to life, just subtly improved upon.
Hiring the right photographer is one of the most important things to consider whether it be for your wedding or capturing those precious moments of your newborn baby. I understand the weight of my role in your memories and it is something that I don't take lightly! Some more information about me, aside from weddings and the various facets of families, I have a passion for still life photography. I love Mexican food and I have been teaching myself how to cook. I got married a few years ago, therefore, apart from being in the wedding industry, I know exactly what it feels like to be a bride and be going through the wedding planning process from your perspective. I feel that being a wedding photographer really helped me in planning my wedding and being a bride really helped me in understanding my clients on a new level.
I have an amazing little boy and he has also helped me take my family photography to the next level by becoming a mother and better understanding what it is like to have a child. It also helps to have the experience with the unpredictability of a toddler’s brain!
